Our client, a large international manufacturer of construction materials, currently has need for 8 Customer Service Representatives. The company is currently setting up a National Customer Service department in the GTA. 3 of these positions require a bilingual (English/French) applicant.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Process customer orders as per established procedures in a professional, courteous fashion.
• Assist customers with information relating to products, delivery, pricing, and technical information.
• Organize shipments of customer orders based on inventory availability and other priorities as dictated from time to time by the Sales Supervisor or Area Sales Manager.
• Liaise with Production and Accounting to assure orderly processing of shipping bills and invoices.
• Liaise and assist field representatives on matters concerning customer orders.
• Liaise with other branch sales desks on matters concerning inter-branch transfers.
• Prepare sales adjustments in conjunction with the Sales Supervisor and the Shipping Department.
• Assist in the distribution of promotional literature and product samples.
• Keep an up-to-date filing system of all customer service data.
• Solicit orders through telemarketing as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
The successful applicant will be a college graduate with 3 – 5 years experience in a related discipline, preferable within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills and have Microsoft Office, AS/400, JDE, and computer skills. The successful applicant will have a strong customer service focus and recognize the importance of exceeding customer expectations while working within a team oriented environment.
